If you receive internet service from us then you can also use an @escwireless.com email address.  If you want an email address but have not yet requested it, contact us and we will be happy to create the account for you.

You can access your email with a web browser (like Internet Explorer or Firefox for example) by simply browsing to mail.escwireless.com.  Most people are more familiar with using an Email Client such as Outlook Express, Outlook or Thunderbird.  To use such a program you will need to add a new account to the program's settings.  Below are links to specific instructions for each of those three programs.  If you have another program you are more comfortable with contact us and we can try to help you with setup, but understand that while email communications are standardized we cannot guarantee that we will be able to help with any particular program apart from the three mentioned.

The general configuration requirements are to create a new account, using "mail.escwireless.com" as both inbound (or POP3) and outbound (or SMTP) mailservers, your full email address (such as ' This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ') and password.  For the most reliable functioning you should also tell the program that your outbound (SMTP) server requires authentication, and to use the same username and password as the inbound (POP3) server. (SMTP authentication is not strictly required right now if you are on our network, but if you connect from somewhere else it is necessary)

Specific instructions are available for Microsoft Outlook Express (included with Windows up to Windows XP), Microsoft Outlook (part of Microsoft Office) and Thunderbird.  (part of the free Mozilla suite - descendant of Netscape -  that includes the Firefox web browser, available for Windows, Mac, and preinstalled with many Linux operating systems) To set up Windows Mail in Windows Vista, follow the instructions provided by Microsoft - you will need your email address and password, set the POP3 and SMTP servers to "mail.escwireless.com", and tell it the SMTP server requires authentication.

 Windows 7 does NOT include an email application.  You need to choose a mail program yourself or use our webmail at http://mail.escwireless.com.  Options for a mail client would include Thunderbird, or you can choose to install Windows Live and then use the Windows Live Email support.  As with Windows Mail setup, follow the instructions provided by Microsoft for configuring, and use your escwireless.com email address and password, POP3 and SMTP server of "mail.escwireless.com", and tell it SMTP server requires authentication.
