To set up your @escwireless.com email account with Microsoft Outlook Express: (for other domains hosted at ESCWireless follow the same instructions but substitute your domain name, for example replace "escwireless.com" with "etiw.net" everywhere) Start up Outlook Express and select "Accounts" from the "Tools" menu. In the window that opens select "Add..."->"Mail", and it will start the "Internet Connection Wizard" - in the first page give it a name (for your reference only) and click "Next". In the next window enter your complete email address, and again click "Next". Enter "mail.escwireless.com" as both Incoming and Outgoing mail server, and once again click "Next". The next window needs your full email address (not just username) and password, then (you guessed it!) click "Next". At this point Outlook Express will act as though you're finished setting up, but there's one more setting we need to change, so click "Finish" on the "Congratulations" window. In the "Internet Accounts" window, click the 'Mail' tab if not already selected, then click the mail account we just created, in the list. Either double-click, right-click and select "Properties", or click once then click the "Properties" button on the righ. (all three roads lead the same place) Select the "Servers" tab in the Properties window, and place a check in the box near the bottom next to "My server requires authentication", then click "OK". Finally, click "Close" in the "Internet Accounts" window and you are finished. Now you can click on "Send/Receive" in the main menu bar and it should correctly connect and retrieve any email waiting on the server. If it informs you of an error then see "email troubleshooting", otherwise you are finished. |
